About 50 people of all ages gathered at the Seahorse sculpture (El Caballito) on the famous Malecón of Puerto Vallarta with music pumping into the night from the nearby nightclubs. Church bells rang throughout the night as pilgrims continued to honor the Virgin of Guadalupe at the church of that same name just off the Main Plaza, today the 12th of December being the final night of the 12-day pilgrimages all over the country. Candles were lit and the breezes off the sea occasionally blew them out but patiently the attendees helped one another to keep the vigil alive. Puerto Vallarta is a vital part of the world, and we are present at every moment.
